This 8-week AFT training program has been specially designed to increase the military athlete's overall score on the Official (since 01 June 2025) Army Fitness Test (AFT).

The training program's workouts are specifically designed to target the specific muscle groups and energy systems required to successfully conduct each event of the test, and crush them.

This program is completely recyclable, meaning it can be followed more than once for continuous progression, if needed. You WILL NOT find a more complete and comprehensive fitness program to prepare for the AFT.

TRAINING highlights

+ Every workout is oriented to improving strength/skill for each AFT event.

Required Equipment

**YOU WILL FIND EVERYTHING YOU NEED AT MOST (IF NOT ALL) US ARMY/MILITARY GYMS

+ Barbell w/ 345 weight (Hex or Trap bar is recommended also)

+ 40lb Kettlebells or Dumbbells

+ Pull-up bar

+ Drag-Sled or Straps

+ Other basic gym equipment

Trust the Process!

PT has always been a give and take activity for me, as I love exercising but I hate doing it specifically for Army requirements 😅 but with my MOS practically requiring maxing promotion points to 798 to get promoted, I figured it was time to lock in and start a program that was going to get me where I needed to go.

The exercises will seem a little disjunct at first, as many of them require you to run and then lift in the same day, or vice versa, which is NOT how I’ve worked out in the past. I feel most do Strength one day, Cardio on another. But TRUST THE PROCESS. It is that way for a reason. By seeing the routine through, eating well (this includes not starving yourself - calories are important!!), and doing active recovery, I was able to increase my AFT score by EIGHTY POINTS. I am not kidding, this is the f-ing real deal. Because of this, I’ve put myself just a couple promotion points shy of 798. I’m gonna go hit the range for a couple extra shots in marksmanship, and I’ll see yall in a couple weeks with a new rank! Thank you SO much for this amazing program!

Working through the plan right now and it’s pretty dope! I’m able to do what I need to do without the lengthy workouts and whatever I don’t understand gritty soldier will respond with assistance or has a video somewhere to help. Can’t wait to see how my increases!

The content is legit. I'm used to just lifting something heavy and working out muscles that arent already sore while at the gym, plus running, but wasn't optimizing AFT prep with a plan. This stuff helped prepare me. I'm 100% a fan of Gritty Soldier. Wish I had this stuff a long time ago.
